Innovating and Carving Creative Pathways

I’m Moriah Alise, a multifaceted art architect shaping the art world through education, strategic creativity, curation, and advocacy. My mission is to empower artists and bridge the gap between creative vision and sustainable success.

ABOUT ME

Born in Beaumont, Texas, my journey into the arts began with an education in public relations, with a particular focus on fashion. This interest led me to the vibrant city of New York, where I interned with Stella McCartney and later assisted stylist Phillip Bloch in personally styling the iconic Mary J. Blige. (There’s lots more to tell here, but we can get to that later. )

However, as my career in fashion PR advanced, I found my interests gravitating towards the world of visual arts and education. This led me back to Houston, where I spent four enriching years teaching high school art and art history. During this period, I founded the District Art Gallery, directing its operations and exhibitions for three years.

As the COVID-19 pandemic took hold, the gallery had to close its doors. However, in this quiet time, I found an opportunity to delve deeper into the intricacies of the art world, unraveling its complex functions and gaining a thorough understanding of the market. Realizing the value this knowledge could bring to others, I started a YouTube channel to share these insights, preventing others from encountering the same trials I did. This YouTube channel, today, has garnered nearly 8,000 subscribers.

During this exploratory period, an artist approached me with a unique request – to manage their career. This proposal, an intersection of my myriad interests and skills, inspired the creation of Alise Art Group. Through Alise Art Group, I began providing strategic guidance to artists, managing large-scale public projects, and developing compelling marketing campaigns. This evolution of services allowed me to explore creative partnerships independently with brands like the beauty company, Buttah, developing strategic campaigns for their social and retail platforms. As I gained this knowledge, I didn’t want to limit my guidance to 10 minute videos on Youtube, although that strongly persist. I also wanted to give artist that aren’t managed by Alise Art Group artist guidance through consulting.

Today, Alise Art Group, along with my YouTube channel and consulting work, symbolize my diverse journey and unwavering commitment to nurturing artistic talent, fostering art education, and harmoniously blending creativity with strategic triumph in the art world. With five sold-out exhibitions to their credit, the artists I mentor bear testament to the profound reach and impact of my multifaceted endeavors. Each success story validates my efforts to bridge the gap between art and business, thereby reshaping the landscape of the art industry.

My Philosophy

Guided by a purpose to safeguard artists, my philosophy centers around the creation and cultivation of spaces that allow for unencumbered artistic expression and growth. I champion an environment where the artist’s vision can unfurl in its most authentic form. Equally vital is my commitment to sustainability - a belief deeply ingrained in my approach. I advocate for sustainable practices and models that ensure longevity and resilience in the artist’s career, thereby promoting a more robust and enduring art ecosystem.
